No CAT 2009 retest

This year's computerised Common Admission Test ( CAT ), which was marred by technical glitches, will not be scrapped, the exam committee announced today. Not only that , they also announced that CAT 2010 will also be Computer based Test.

The way CAT 2009 test was conducted , many students found it most ridiculous MBA Entrance Test conducted ever. Many of the Cat 2009 test takers have been demanding CAT retest as they felt that the CAT 2009 Computer based test was unfair.

IIMs had decided to Conduct Computer based Cat test from 2009 however it was no way near to old Pencil Paper test. IIMs had hired American Company Prometric to conduct Computer based exam. Though the Company has experience of conducting top entrance exams around the world , they failed to conduct CAT 2009 successfully.

CAT 2009 test takers faced various problems like premature exit through the Exit/End button, slowness of computers while reviewing and refreshing questions, rebooting of computers and disruptions, missing graphics and data.

Till date IIMs had to have Cat retest only in 2003 when the cat test paper was leaked.

SLIMS Som-Lalit Institute of Management Studies

Som-Lalit Institute of Management Studies (SLIMS) which offers 2 years full time / 3 years part-time Post Graduate Programme leading to the degree of PGDBM (Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management) approved by AICTE.

HOW TO APPLY for MAT February 2010		Candidate can choose any ONE of the following modes to apply: Obtain Form with MAT Bulletin/CD against cash payment of Rs 980/- from listed branches of Bank of Baroda, listed Study Centres of AIMA or from AIMA, New Delhi (Phones: 011-24653382 & 41757046). Or Obtain crossed Demand Draft (DD) of Rs 1050/- in favour of ‘All India Management Association’ payable at Delhi from any Bank. Reporting Time at the Test Centre	0900 Hrs
Computer Based Test
Test Date	From 13 February 2010 (Saturday) onwards
Test Timing	In three time slots per day
Test Centre City (Click here to view the list of Test Centre Cities along with their codes)		The Paper Based Test will take place only on one day i.e., 07 February 2010 at one time slot i.e., 1000 to 1230 Hrs, whereas the Computer Based Test will take place from 13 February 2010 onwards in three time slots per day. If the number of candidates registered for Computer Based Test at any city is limited, these candidates will be permitted to appear for the Paper Based Test on 07 February 2010. No candidate is permitted to take more than one test during February 2010, though the test is administered over a few days.
Admit Card		All provisionally registered candidates can down load their Admit Card from AIMA website link: www.aima-ind.org/matcentre.asp 7 days before the date of Paper Based Test.
