Online CAT preparation by career launcher

As we know that CAt 2009 will an online test from this year onwards , The CAT Coaching institute Career Launcher is gearing up for this.

To Prepare its students for Upcoming CAT 2009 online test , Career Launcher has Setup Computer lab at its centres. Gautam Puri, Vice-Chairman, Career Launcher feels that the quantitative aptitude part of the CAT will remain the same but the comprehension passages, in the reading part, will become shorter. Also, the data interpretation section will become smaller.

CAT will take a CBT format comparable to the existing tests such as GMAT, GRE and TOEFL but at a substantially lower cost.

Career launcher has already put up online tests on the website 'mba.careerlauncher.com' to help MBA Aspirants in Online Cat Preparation.

Ymat aptitude test 2009 2011

Bangalore-based YGen Management Consulting Services has launched YMAT, a centralised aptitude test for aspirants for management colleges in the country.

The Ymat Aptitutede test includes complete admission process starting from Conducting the entrance test to final selecttion in a single day. Ymat helps the MBA Aspirant in cutting costs. They need not take various tests and pay huge money.

The Registration cost for Ymat aptitude test is Rs 750 . The YMAT will be of the same format like CAT or MAT wherein the students have to prove themselves in the logical reasoning, general awareness and language ability sections.

YGen has tied up with 18 colleges across the country including Institute of Business Management and Research (IBMR) in Ahmedabad. For the academic year 2009-11, YMAT will be conducted in 15 region specific centres across North-east, West Bengal, Orissa, Bihar, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat. The test will be conducted on May 31 at YGens's Ahmedabad and Surat centres.

counselling admissions Lucknow University

The counselling for admissions in 12 master of business administration ( MBA ) courses of the Lucknow University for the session 2009-10 will be held from May 18 to May 21, 2009 at the Institute of Management Sciences (IMS), second campus on Sitapur Road. The counselling will start from 9 am on each day and applicants have been invited to attend the counselling on the basis of merit as per the percentile score of IIM CAT.

Counselling of all the special categories and SC/ST candidates is scheduled for May 18. The short listed candidates of OBC category (percentile score of 95.52 to 42.37) have been called for counselling on May 19. The counselling of unreserved candidates (merit number 1-322 having percentile scores of 99.81 to 69.76) will be held on May 20. The wait listed candidates of the open list have been called on May 21. Individual letters of counselling have also been dispatched to the candidates. The counselling schedule and the merit number of candidates is also available at www.lkouniv.ac.in. The list of documents required to bring by the candidate for counselling has also been posted on the website.

1 year MBA Course y University of Arizona's Eller College of Management

he University of Arizona's Eller College of Management in Tuscon, Arizona has announced it will offer an accelerated, one-year MBA program starting in 2010.

According to the business school, students will begin the program with a 10-week intensive session on core business subjects, like marketing, operations, finance, and statistics. They will then join elective courses on the full-time program, "essentially as second-year students."

FMS Faculty of Management Studies achieves 100% placement for Batch 2007 - 2009

Beating the Recession , Faculty of Management Studies in Delhi University has achieved 100% placements for its 2007 - 2009 batch. The highest package offered to FMS student this year is Rs 19 lakh per annum while the average annual salary offer was more than Rs 11 lakh this year. According to FMS officials, the average salary has seen a drop of 20% due to the economic slowdown. A total of 89 students in MBA and 42 in MBA-MS were placed by 67 and 42 companies respectively.

MBA in Project Management course by BVU

Department of information technology and management (DITM) of the Bharati Vidyapeeth University(BVU) and Amplify Mindware has launched the MBA equivalent programme in project management .This will be a full-time two year's post-graduate management programme in project management (PGDBPM). Amplify Mindware is the BVU's industry-institute initiative.

MBA in Project Management course will be helpful to professionals with work experience who aspire to be project managers, especially in project-oriented industries, including software, construction, manufacturing, healthcare, automobile and telecom.

MBA in Project Management course starts at the BVU campus from July.
